Effects of Phosphorus Supply on Seed Yield and Quality in Flax

Flaxseed, which is rich in lignan, α-linolenic acid, dietary fiber, and several minerals, an important food nutrition source. In this study, trials were conducted at Yongdeng over two consecutive years (2018 2019), with three cultivars (Longyaza 1, Longya 14, Zhangya 2) five application rates of phosphorus (P) (0, 40, 80, 120, 160 kg P2O5 ha−1). We examined the effects P on seed yield, yields contents iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), manganese (Mn), copper (Cu). found that fertilization positively influenced levels Fe, Cu, showing average increases 15, 20, 24, 28%, respectively, compared plants not given 2-year study. Additionally, resulted increased concentrations Fe Cu flaxseed 8 2%, respectively. negatively affected Zn, Mn, reduced by 7, 11, 7%, comparison control. conclusion, results demonstrated appropriate effective strategy for improving seed, flax production enhancing flax.
